Ryan North attempts a new translation every weekday except when he doesn’t feel like it , publishing the result as a new Dinosaur Comics strip.

In the past, and at sometimes in the future, the Qwantz Codex contains scripts of dinosaur movies, subsequently stolen and remade by North, who later “condenses” them in his comic.

Dinosaur Comics is a constrained webcomic by Canadian writer Ryan North. It is also known as “Qwantz”, after the site’s domain name, “qwantz. The first comic was posted on February 1, , [1] although there were earlier prototypes.

The internet’s changed a whole lot in the last fifteen years, so Digg editor Mat Olson sat down with Ryan for a chat about the internet, making comics and how to cobble together a living in the wild world of online. Dinosaur Comics is an unlikely gem of a webcomic — the same six panels every week featuring three dinosaurs and a house, a car and a woman in danger of being smushed. What changes from strip to strip is the dialog, and man, there’s a lot of it. This is a wordy comic. The jokes are often erudite, sometimes just plain goofy. The creator, Ryan North, is mining this odd little visual vein and coming up with a seemingly bottomless well of extremely funny material.
